Renovation Action Plans May Vary Greatly

There are various ways of looking at renovating a property.  For starters we can go dashing to the out of town DIY emporiums and buy up everything we fancy on impulse – this is the New Year Resolution method adopted by many hundreds of couples across the UK.  The problem here is generally the lack of planning and foresight.  So many then get home and realise they should have thought about what they hope to achieve.  The home probably needs a drastic cull of junk & mess to start with so the parties can see what exactly they are dealing with.   When the initial shock of having purchased all the decorating materials, the euphoria generally dissipates rapidly when the sofa is moved out and the tide line of dirt is spotted!

The best method will always be discuss ideas with family; plan how to do the work and what needs to be done before starting;  clear all unwanted furniture/effects and carry out jobs agreed to be needed before buying anything.    Carry out agreed works with a careful, logical approach, clearing up as you go, until completion.  The ultimate plan though is to engage a renovation contractor from the very start of the project.  Much time and money can actually be saved by taking this sensible approach!
